Peter Murphy Resurrects Bauhaus
English Goth-rock pioneer Peter Murphy is perhaps best known as front man and founding member of genre defining post-punk quartet Bauhaus, a band that artfully fused dark imagery with gloomy strains of glam rock, psychedelia and dub during their heyday between 1978 and 1983. Thereafter Murphy embarked on a solo career and rode high on the aggressive alt rock he first forged with Bauhaus, captivating audiences around the world with a deadpan charisma and cheek bones so sharp they could cut diamonds. Four decades after his band's formation, the iconic performer joins forces with Bauhaus bassist David J to celebrate their legacy on the Ruby Celebration North American Tour this winter!
Performing a smorgasbord of delectably dark hits from the all four of the group's seminal, cult-worshipped albums In The Flat Field, Mask, The Sky's Gone Out and Burning From The Inside, Murphy and David J are resurrecting their reputation as the Dark Princes of Death Rock and making a truly majestic comeback with as much, if not more style than their formative years. Expect multiple costume changes, a nostalgic sense of theatrical drama, and sweet, sweet misery.
