Celebrate Phillip Glass' 80th Birthday

Widely held in high esteem as one of the most influential composers and musicians of the 20th century, Phillip Glass evolved a style that influenced the evolution of the moving picture and music. His minimalism spans over 20 operas and 10 symphonies, as well as a host of legendary films inlcluding The Truman Show, The Hours and Kundun. Celebrate the musical genius' 80th birthday with a special screening and live performance of Godfrey Reggio's KOYAANISQATSI.

Perhaps his most famous score to date, KOYAANISQATSI is a 1982 American experimental documentary film that explores the fracturing of the relationship between humanity and nature as the human race relies more heavily on a technological existence. The film is abstract, making its stunning point with music and image alone.
