What is it about?
The Banks family is in utter uproar. Met with stern opposition to their youthful high spirits by their workaholic father, Mr Banks and forgotten by their airheaded mother, Jane and Michael Banks are faced with the horrifying news that Mr Banks is hiring a nanny to make them well-behaved. However, the children cunningly draft their own advert for a nanny, which finds its way drifting up into the sky after their father angrily tears it up and throws it into the fire.
When the serious candidates are mysteriously blown away in a freak hurricane, the children find themselves with a nanny who displays all the lovely qualities they asked for in the letter. However, Mary Poppins isn't a pushover and sets about teaching the children to behave by taking them on magical adventures around London and beyond! However, the children aren't the only ones to find themselves learning a few lessons themselves, as Mr and Mrs Banks soon find out...
