Why See Yeah Yeah Yeahs?
Karen O and Co. Perform Fever To Tell
Venerated Garage punk revivalists Yeah Yeah Yeahs have been an indelible part of the New York City indie rock landscape ever since the release of their seminal debut album Fever To Tell in 2003. Making their mark with raucous guitars, witty lyrics and the distinctive rebel yell of feisty front woman Karen O, the party rocking trio broke into the mainstream, ruled the festival circuit, released three more albums and garnered three Grammy nominations. Revisit the record that started it all during Date With The Night, YYY's latest concert at Austin City Limits.
Before the historic show, there will be a screening of There Is No Modern Romance, a documentary chronicling the band's tumultuous Fever To Tell 2003 tour in the UK. Its cameras intimately capturing happening onstage, back stage and on the road, it offers a glimpse of a band on their way to icon status, warts and all.
